LEGO Jar Jar Binks

To celebrate the 15^th anniversaries of “The Phantom Menace” & “LEGO Star Wars”, which was the first licensed/non-original lego brand (and the 65^th Anniversary of the LEGO toy and company as well), I decided to draw a controversial, disliked, yet fan-favorited character from the Star Wars line…. The Great Gungan, “Jar Jar Binks”.

I decided to use an image of the 1999 mini-figure (which was a gift to my brother, in the Gungan Battle Pack, with a Gungan who had the exact same head). Jar Jar was one of the first lego minifigures to have a uniquely styled/created head. Sadly, all the dislike is why the character is discredited. That and that he was a innovation of motion-capture CGI. You wouldn’t have Gollum or the Avatar people (THE BLUE CAT AVATAR) without him. Yes, the newer fig may look better, but I am paying tribute to the classic SW line.

Messa won’t go on about the art drawing… May the 4^th Be With You. And messa surly hope that jar Jar is a main character in “The LEGO Movie 2”.
